NOT on the cover of the Rolling Stone...

Issue #164 of Tomart's Action Figure Digest features photos of this year's BotCon figure set that I designed paint decorations for. Making it doubly cool is the fact that I took all the photos that fill the four pages of BotCon toy previews in this issue.

Triple cool kicks in as I also took the photo used on the cover.

I realize I'm tooting my own horn a bit here, but there are no photo credits in the mag itself and it's pretty cool for a toy fan like myself to see my work (on two levels) in a news stand distributed magazine. I realize it's not the cover of TIME or ROLLING STONE, but hey...

I believe if you click the image, you can see a larger version. It's not my favorite photo of the one's I sent to Tomart's, but it's the one they chose. If you get a chance flip through the magazine the next time you are in a comic shop or major bookstore.

I like that picture of Lanny. It's how I still see him in my minds eye.

It's how I'll always think of him. I don't think I'll ever forget the first time we met. Little did I know what a special friendship it would turn out to be...

To have known such special people in my lifetime has been a richer blessing than any man deserves.

In MY minds eye, I'm still a 12 year old. :-)
